That means that inside your Home folder there is a folder called Monero, inside it is another folder called wallets and there you should find a folder (or more, if you have more than 1 wallet) having your wallet's name, containing 2 files, one ending in. Wallets: the default path for a monero wallet in MacOS is ~/Monero/wallets/. It is best to restart first your Mac, in order to avoid having an other instance of monerod running. Then add the extra commands and press enter. If you like to add extra commands, run Terminal.app and drag in terminal's open window monerod file. If you want to run the daemon with the default settings, just double click monerod. Under the folder Contents there is a folder MacOS that contains 2 executable files: monero-wallet-guiand monerod. You can right click on it and select Show Package Contents to open it. Monero-wallet-gui.app is actually a package. dmg file and you drag & drop (copy) monero-wallet-gui.app file preferably into Applications folder, replacing possibly an older version. I'm writing this comment because I have noticed that answers from people not familiar with macOS, create more confusion on not tech-savy mac users.Īpp: There is no installer for Monero wallet GUI. I am not using the Monero wallet in conjunction with a hardware wallet, like Ledger or Trezor. I do use a VPN, but that has never posed an issue before. I am hoping that there is some kind of remedy for this. I also deposited funds into the wallet successfully after I did the free space erase, so I think something else is going on. A few weeks ago, I erased the free space on my Mac, but the Monero wallet should not have been considered free space. A user on telegram instructed me to enter this terminal command: monerod -db-sync-mode safe:sync, and I got the message: -bash: monerod command not found. I made sure to allow permission for Daemon to run despite it being an "app from an unauthorized developer" by Mac. My Monero wallet won't sync with Daemon or start. I'm running my own node (at least I was able to run it successfully in the past). ![]() I have 1TB of space and I'm only using about 200mb.
